Helping you challenge mis-sold car finance

We provide a free service to help you prepare complaints to your car finance provider and the Financial Ombudsman.

💡 What we do

Support for complaints about hidden commissions and mis-sold car finance

Many people who bought a car, van, or motorbike on finance were unknowingly charged thousands in extra interest due to undisclosed commissions paid to dealers or brokers. If your agreement was unfair, you could now be owed compensation.

Our service helps you:

  • Understand your rights under recent court rulings and FCA guidance

  • Create a strong complaint using our free letter templates

  • Escalate your case to the Financial Ombudsman if needed

📌 All templates and support are free – we just ask you to complete a short questionnaire.

🚩 What is car finance mis-selling?

For years, car dealers and brokers received hidden commissions from lenders – often without your knowledge. These payments were built into the interest rate, making your finance deal far more expensive than necessary.

In October 2024, the Court of Appeal ruled that:

  • Dealers must have had your fully informed consent to receive commissions

  • This almost never happened

  • As a result, many agreements were unfair and potentially unlawful

You may be able to claim back interest and charges – even if the finance has been paid off.

📋 What the Ombudsman and FCA say

The Financial Ombudsman has upheld thousands of mis-sold car finance complaints. And the FCA is now consulting on a redress scheme that may result in lenders issuing refunds automatically.

Until then, submitting a complaint protects your rights and helps ensure you’re in line for compensation.

💷 What you could get back

If your complaint is successful, outcomes may include:

  • A refund of unfair interest and charges

  • A reduction in any outstanding balance

  • Compensation for financial loss

  • Correction of your credit file

Many refunds are worth over £1,500 – and if you’ve had multiple agreements, you could receive significantly more.

🙋 Who This Is For

You may be eligible if:

  • You financed a car, van, or motorbike using PCP or Hire Purchase

  • The agreement started between April 2007 and January 2024

  • The vehicle was for personal use, not business

  • You paid interest as part of the finance deal

Still have the car? Already paid it off? Bought it second-hand? You can still complain.
